Grindhouse is the new movie directed by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. It's actually a double feature, meaning it's two movies for the price of one, and it's due to premiere in Portugal next month. Being a fan of the movies of Quentin Tarantino and Sin City, and after watching a couple of trailers, I can only say that I'm really anxious to watch this nonstop retro-inspired action movie!

Mic to Mic: "The Mix-Up" review track-by-track

One of the best Beastie Boys information source and fan community is the blog Mic to Mic. Last month one of the editors of the blog that had a previous listening of the new album, posted a track-by-track review: "I think music heads are gonna go ga-ga for this album. Musicians will be inspired by this album. This album has the power to draw new fans and make current fans renew their vow of fandom". Here it is the full review.

Blasted Mechanism new album

Since I'm from Portugal I have access to bands that aren't well known outside our country, so this is for the people that never heard of this band: Blasted Mechanism's fourth album was released in March and it's called Sound In Light! They're a very "strange" band with a focus not just on music but also on the image and message. This new album is very eastern-oriented but still has the usual mix of rock, electronica and world music.
